Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way works in cooperation with local organizations and volunteers to bring quality programs to the community.

Each of our blanketed communities has unique struggles. In order for us to be able to fill the gap of needs in each community, we develop our own programs to target specific problem areas.

Local Vision

Local Vision is an initiative of Greater Susquehanna Valley Women United in partnership with Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way.

Purchases from the online catalog support real and immediate needs of working families in Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties.

Purchases are distributed to partner agencies who work with those families to address their immediate needs and make a long-term difference in their lives.

opioid coalitions

GSVUW's Behavioral Health & Addiction Impact Council oversees three groups:

  • Northumberland County Opioid Coalition

  • Snyder-Union Opioid Coalition

  • The Youth Ambassadors.

The groups are working collectively to end drug overdose deaths in our counties. We are currently undergoing a strategic planning process with our Coalitions.
