After School Programs

GSVUW is actively developing an in-depth, referral-based program that attends holistically to the needs of children and families in ways that schools cannot. The program will be modeled after Youth Net, a well-established program in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Owing in part to the success of this program, Marshfield boasts a 99% high school graduation rate. GSVUW will work to build documentation and infrastructure to engage partners and expand what is currently the K-2 Beck pilot program in Central Sunbury, beginning in September 2018. This project will be overseen by a member of GSVUW’s staff and will utilize area case management services, AmeriCorps VISTAs, and mentors of college age and above.
